More eBay brain drain?

Just browsed through some eBay bloggers site and found this shocking news !!

“I just learned that Dan Madden, former PayPal Seller Development dude (I don’t really think that was his title) has just left PayPal for a position with AdBrite. Many sellers have worked with Dan over the years and I’m sure they join me in wishing him well at his new position.

I’ve written several eBay Brain Drain posts over the last year and left it up to readers to read between the lines but no longer. I believe the changes at eBay since 2005 were brought about by a management battle for the direction of eBay and the consultants won.

I can understand one or two good people leaving for better opportunities but the list from eBay is growing daily. There has been an exodus of very good people since 2005 when John Donahoe was hired to run eBay’s Marketplace business. Employee morale must be very low right now. Might we one day see the eBay version of Yahoo’s Peanut Butter memo.

I have spoken or communicated via email with many of those people. Some of them are guarded as to the reasons they left while others just wanted a better opportunity. It looks like eBay’s old guard has left the building and in my opinion so has the heart and soul of eBay.

eBay is now run by consultants like John Donahoe who manage strictly by the numbers and have no connection to what made eBay great.

Note to eBay buyers and sellers, if you wonder what happened to the old eBay you knew and loved … its working for other companies.”

Sounds scary… @..@! Does it affect the future of eBay?
Could it be a good opportunity for newbie eBayers ?

The Story
After my work, as usual I walked to the carpark to my car and first thing that caught my eyes was the leaflet on my big windscreen. I roughly know what it is about, usually I chose to throw away without reading any info on it.

But this time, all that was in my mind was, eBay.. yes.. eBay is calling me.
Thus I picked it up and see what they got to offer..

Ohh, it’s a Chinese Herbal Viagra?!! (I don’t really know what does it called in English).
Do you trust this product? Do you trust this seller?

The Fact:
My sister’s ex-Boyfriend was selling these drugs/medicines.
He is earning RM 1,000 everyday. YES, EVERYDAY!
He has a few luxury cars and a bungalo in Penang. $_$ Thanks to these drug buyers.

The Market:
I tried to search eBay “Viagra”, “Ecstacy”, “Poppers”, “K”, “5″
There are no results. Some are the souvenirs with the name “viagra”.. lol.
Which I think, this market is HUGE. Why? High demand, low supply.

After my further researched and experiment, there are several ads around and this is what I found. A drug selling website owned in Malaysia : www.intimatepleasure.org

And there are more and more sellers in the town to dig.

I recalled there was a guy chatted with me on MSN 2 weeks ago. We knew each other from friendster.com
And luckily I saved our conversation because I thought it was pretty funny :p

Well, I don’t know what to say after I had a conversation with her like this.

My grandpa is in China now, so left my grandmother alone staying in Air Itam’s house.
I started to feel insecure about leaving my grandma alone staying in the house.

The editor of IF (in fashion) magazine contacted me yesterday and he was trying to convince me to participate in their IF Fashion Competition.

Yet, I rejected the offer because I already had my modelling experiences before – CatWalk with Gwen & Amber for Jewelleries Fashion Show. Had photoshoots for iFeel & Vmag for the fashion spread 8 pages. So I do not need to compete with those new “youngsters” who want to be a model, badly.
Give chance, give chance.. hehe..

But if I were to participate in the competition, how do I want myself to look like in the masterpiece?

Browsing through eBay today before I get to work, everything was just about the money, money and more money. I was so blur and couldn’t even dare to take the risk on higher bidder.
Should I ?

The bidders are fast enough to monopoly the market, especially those that selling like hotcakes.
Jeese.. Should I say, “Get a life” ? Ughh… Maybe I should sell some other things that aren’t really hot in the market, yet potential one.

It was raining cats and dogs in the morning. I tried to go to office earlier than usual to avoid traffic jam. When I reached my office, and opened my mailbox, I finally saw something which is FREE.

My eyes blinks.. Oh It’s FREE. Ran to McDonald nearby my office, oh gosh.. long queue. =.=
Well, ran back and bought “Tai Pao” (bigger size of Pao which contains meat, eggs etc).

My Thought

This is, although not funny, but I don’t know why I kept laughing at it. I am not sexist nor crazy.
I just recalled back few days ago I read a blog from somewhere I couldn’t remember and I would like to share some of the funny pictures I have downloaded from the site.

Are men better drivers than women? and are women better drivers than man? It is a question long being asked, and the answer is often debatable against both sexes. So which sex are better drivers?
If this question was directed to me, this would be my answer:

Women can’t see obstacle even in front of the car

Women can’t differentiate what’s D and R in automatic transmission vehicle.

Woman see things differently than man,
e.g. man see BIG rock, woman see small rock.

Women: Cars are designed to travel from A to B
Men: DIFFERENT cars are designed for DIFFERENT terrain

I don’t even know how to comment about these,I have no explanation of how this happened.

So there you have it.
Picture worth a thousand words. I need not to answer!

Now Girls, calm down.

I do not mean to be sexism and showprejudice against female but here are the evidences. Can’t argue with that right?Alright, enough of my testosterone rambling.

Here’s the real fact: According to Auto Insurance Centre, it stated that:

“….males, especially young men, tend to drive more aggressively than women and display their aggression……male drivers are more likely than women to break the law, and the male of the species tends to be more of a risk-taker…therefore making women better drivers..”

Why Teddybears are still selling like hotcakes these days.

I remember I have a chat with DeDeDevil on MSN few weeks ago about eBay vs. eMarketing business. Which really inspired me, and push me to further analysing the possibility of eBusiness.

According to DeDeDevil, one of his customers was giving an interesting speech about how he managed to sell and promote his webby and product like hotcakes. He’s just a Teddybears seller, and what makes him richer than many bosses in town?

I’m not promoting his webby or product. I’m just curious how he could actually made US4000 within 5 weeks. Then we found out that was because the concept behind each Teddy has their birth cert. and name. Which is kinda cute and meaningful, to some new couples.

Got to do more researches on eBay. Time to troll…….. again!

SneakPeak- eBay Desktop software.

A great research from one of my colleagues – Kenny, who actually working hard on GIX – our company’s software that we actually planned to upgrade the whole console and UI using Adobe Apollo combined with Flex2.

Then I recalled he showed me the eBay Demo video few weeks ago. Then I have been drawned attention on eBay lately, so I decided to share this upcoming and cool software for fella eBayers. I am sure some of you might have known about this new technology, and I’m pretty sure some of the newbies like me will glad to see this happening soon.

New beginning, new life, new born

My Story

Back to the old days, I quit my World Of Warcraft after being addicting in the virtual for 2 years. Kinda regret I did not took the time to actually build up myself, my life, my relationship and my career.

Well I hit 26 y/o this year, a PrimeAge year. I told myself on my Birthday, I want to change my life!!

After 2 months of researches, I started to realise that, eBay is the potential site that gives extra income to me. If it works very well, I could consider as FullTime-eBayer.

My New Life

She’s a pro-eBayer. She’s my idol now. She’s really superb.

I want to be like her. Self-employed.
